Featuring stranded colourwork in stripes of two colours, corrugated ribbing and Channel Island cast-on and bind-off edges, the cowl is inspired by the striped architecture of Italian churches such as the Duomo of Orvieto pictured here. The coordinating mitts use the same edging but use twisted stitches to create diagonal stripes.
