Byland Hat and Mitts

These mitts and hat are inspired by the ruins of Byland Abbey in North Yorkshire, famous for its 13th Century tilework pavements featuring intricate geometric motifs. They are knitted in the round using stranded colourwork technique, with small bobbles for texture, whilst the mitts are finished with a picot edge.

The yarn used is North Coast 4-ply by the Border Mill which comes in a fabulous range of colours.

The pattern can be found in my Ravelry store here.
