Inspired by the tilework on a beautiful dome in Samarkand, this hat and cowl use stranded colourwork and two-colour cables (which can be worked without the need for a cable needle – as explained in the pattern) to weave an intricate design.
They are made using North Coast 4-ply yarn from the Border Mill, for whom I have designed a number of patterns. This yarn comes in a fabulous range of colours and knits up beautifully!
