Here’s a piece of silk noil fabric I screen printed on a West Dean course recently, using turmeric, buckthorn, logwood, red onion skins, iron and soda ash. I’ve just lined it and made it into a scarf which I’m looking forward to wearing. Oh dear - what with music courses and other things going on there have been too many distractions from my knitting! #naturaldyeing #naturaldyes #botanicaldyes #westdeancollege
It’s April 1st - but this is not an April fool! My new hat is available on Ravelry and there’s a 20% discount on this pattern running for the whole of April!
Oh it’s been a while! Thanks to many distractions, including a bout of covid and a fabulous botanical dye screenprinting course, I haven’t posted anything recently. However, I’m pleased to say that my new brioche hat pattern will be published tomorrow! Watch this space for details of an initial discount code.
Not quite the right shade of yellow, but I was looking today for something appropriate to wear. So shocked & saddened by what’s going on in the world today.
Just a reminder, for Fruity Knitting patrons, that the discount code in my Ravelry store ends at midnight (UK time) on Tuesday 25th January! #fruityknittingpodcast #ravelrydiscount #ravelry #knittersofinstagram #knittersoftheworld #skeinreaction
I have added two new photo tutorials to my website covering crochet provisional cast-on and grafting/Kitchener Stitch. The latter covers grafting stockinette and garter stitch as well as some additional information on grafting in the round.
