Watch out for several of my designs at the Border Mill stand at EYF again this year! #Repost @edinyarnfest with @get_repost ・・・ #EYF2019VENDORPREVIEW Pure British Alpaca, alpaca-blend, and British wool yarns from @border_mill in a dazzling range of colours and vibrant tweed mixes, including our unique alpaca-rose blend. New this year: North Coast Tweed, a pure Shetland yarn spun in both worsted and fingering weights in a gently glowing colour palette inspired by a trip around Scotland's breathtakingly beautiful far north coast. #EDINYARNFEST #EDINYARNFEST2019
Hello Dolly! I’ve been on an urban sketching weekend in Edinburgh and have spent a long time drawing things in the National Museum of Scotland as it was too cold outside - I didn’t even realise Dolly was here until I stumbled across her.
I’ve been visiting snowy Tideswell for some Scandinavian music & dancing and had a lovely squish at @peakdistrictyarns in between dancing polskas. I’m also enjoying my new pin (is it gin o’clock yet?...)
When a ladybird takes an interest in your on-screen Stitchmastery chart..... #stitchmastery
Over Christmas I finished my Nimue top from the latest Pom Pom magazine - it was the perfect use for my stash of Eden Cottage Titus DK! I also knitted a new design for a top - details coming soon! #nimuetop #edencottageyarns #pompommag
I just spotted my hand squishing some yarn!! #Repost @edinyarnfest with @get_repost ・・・ Can't wait to see what Steffi & Juergen of @Uschitita are bringing for #edinyarnfest2019 - was it your hand fondling this beautiful yarn this year? #edinyarnfest #yarnfondler #bestofEYF2018 // Image by @jenireid
Merry Christmas (or should that be Knitmas?) - even the sherry trifle has a knitting-themed decoration this year! #knitmas
I was having a sort out and just came across this silk cocktail dress I made back in the 1980s - it was fully lined and everything - somehow I don’t think I’ll ever be wearing it again!
It’s so exciting to have my pattern published in Knitty, Winter 2018! Glass Island is a reversible cowl made using double knitting technique. The name is a reference to Murano, the home of Venetian glass, where a medieval mosaic floor inspired the geometric design. The pattern is also free! Head to knitty.com or find it via my Ravelry designer page. #knitty #knittymag
A quick stop for some knitting and coffee at a local craft shop and cafe! #debbiebryan
The lunchtime table decoration in the pub matches my cowl!
Wenlock Cowl is now available in my Ravelry store! The design is inspired by the stonework tracery at Wenlock Priory and the edges are finished with Latvian braids. It is knitted using Wild Wool by Erika Knight, which contains nettle fibre and comes in a range of deep earthy colours with amusing names such as pootle, mooch, dawdle and amble - just right for a leisurely country walk! I first squished this yarn at @ippikin yarn shop in Much Wenlock and it turned out to be the perfect choice for this new design. #ippikin #wildwool #erikaknight #wenlockcowl #wenlockpriory
