Byland is now live in my Ravelry store! If you’d like to see the original samples of this (and several other designs of mine) do visit @border_mill / @bordermillshop who are at Sweater Weather at Farnham Maltings later this week!

Not long now until Sweater Weather at Farnham Maltings! Several of my designs will be available at the @border_mill stand, including this one which I am also releasing on Ravelry this week. It’s called Byland and is based on the patterns of medieval tiled pavements at Byland Abbey in Yorkshire. It uses four colours of North Coast 4-ply.

Exciting to hear that one of my Samarkand collaboration project bags has made it all the way over to Canada!

I’ve been doing a bit of stash-busting. I’ve wanted to make this one for a while ever since I saw it at EYF one year. Just one sleeve left to go and if the weather doesn’t warm up soon I might even be able to wear it!

Reposted from @fruitfulfusion - another picture of our exciting Samarkand collaboration showing the source of inspiration for the colours! I was lucky enough to visit that iconic city two years ago when the world was a very different place.

I’m very excited to be collaborating with @fruitfulfusion in a matching yarn and project bag set which is going live tomorrow morning (details below)! These are inspired by the colours of the legendary Silk Road city of Samarkand. Do watch Fruitful Fusion at the @fibreblockparty tomorrow!
